The system
We post the number. You shop the books.
Vegas Edge Advisors rates every game we cover and posts our number — the spread. That is the product. Totals are being built in a private book and are not on the card yet. We do not pick your book, and we do not tell you Pass or Play. You take our number to your sportsbooks and use it, or you sit.

The spread
How many points we think the favorite wins by. Example: RUTG −38.8. Shop for that number or better. Laying less is better. Getting more on the dog is better.

The total
How many points we think the game scores. Example: O/U 51.9. If your book is higher than our number, look at the under. If it is lower, look at the over. If it matches, sit.

Your job
Open more than one book. Take the line that beats our number. Quarter Kelly, max 3% of bankroll — How to bet shows the table. If you cannot get the number, there is no bet. Do not play the whole Saturday card.
On every ticket
- The matchup and kickoff.
- Our spread — the starting point.
- Totals later, from the private book. Not on the card yet.
- Frozen at kickoff. The ticket you see now is the ticket you look back on.
